What do I do if my heating system does not start?

We would encourage you to call us for service. Below is a

list of common problems you may want to check first.

 

1) Be sure the oil burner switch is on.

2) Thermostat should be set above room temperature.

3) Make sure that there is oil in the tank.

4) Press re-set button on relay only once.

5) Check to see if the flame comes on.

6) If burner does not run at all, check for blown fuses or

circuit.

 

I have a new heating system, do I need to do any maintenance?

It is important to do an annual cleaning and tune-up, as it

helps prevent problems and keeps the equipment running

efficiently.

 

Should I fill my tank for the summer months?

It is a good idea to keep the tank full as condensation does

occur. This could cause problems with sludge.

 

When should I call for a delivery?

You should call at 1/4 of a tank so that you do not run out

of oil.

 

Where do you get your oil from?

CF Oil Co. uses 3 major suppliers. We load our trucks at

their distribution centers. This way CF Oil Co. is sure to

have enough oil for all of our customers.
